Second attempt at CAD

So I fiddled around a bit more with sketchup until I realised it was not for me. Too many things it didn´t allow me to do, like rendering the image or removing lines (or maybe I was just not figuring it out). In the end I tried to find something called fusion 360 by autodesk and when I found it I realised you could only get a 30 day trial so I looked around a bit more and because I´m a student they gave me a student account so I can use fusion for the next 3 years! Autodesk even gave me some educational files and videos which have been very helpful though I haven´t gone through many of them. In the last lesson I designed part of a robotic arm! How cool is that!

I´m going to stop messing around in these CAD programs and start studying for my last final which is tomorrow xD. Looking forward to learning more about the way these programs work.

Here is a picture of a robotic arm I haven´t finished yet!

My first attempt at CAD

Hey so recently I have been trying to understand CAD software and this is my first attempt at making something! For those of you who don´t know CAD is an acronym that stands for „computer aided design“ and is used by designers and engineers all over the world.

I made this red truck using sketchup which is a free online software (you can´t export photos of what you made properly though)  and it´s loads of fun. Next time I want to try and make a car that actually looks like one when you are in the software xD If you look at the other side of the truck it isn´t as pretty as this side.

Well here is the photo:

My truck

Until next time.

Busy Busy Busy this week

Úff! This week is busy. I had two meetings last night, going on a short 2 and a hour course on how to use linefollower on arduino this afternoon and then straight after that at the other end of town there is another meeting where I have to present a trip that is happening next march but I forgot the paper that I wrote everything I need to know about that at home. Tomorrow I have to turn in an assignment, the day after another one and also a test in linear algebra.

Next weekend there is a scout camp in a lodge with a few other groups with a viking theme and we have planned a crazy fun schedule!…. That same schedule involves staying up late and I´m very susceptible to changes in sleep. So I´m going to either fall asleep or be very tired next week.

*Everything is busyyyyyy! Everything is happeniiing at the same time* Sung to the melody of everything is awesome from lego movie.

Worst thing is a lot of other people have more to do than I do and they don´t complain so I´m going to step up my game!

Good luck with the week guys. I´ll talk to you later.
